Pebble Hill Plantation Thomasville

Founded before the civil war, Pebble Hill Plantation near Thomasville is a museum with a variety of attractions. Formerly a plantation for rice, tobacco and cotton, it now offers guided or self-guided tours around the main house, containing a library, an art collection and of course the former living areas. The area around the house as well as the 3,000 acre large garden can be explored freely and offer a beatiful sight of all kinds of plants and trees. Animals like horses, dogs and mules roam the area around the plantation and are loved by staff and visitors equally.

The recently renovated barn can be rented and is the perfect place for corporate events, private get-togethers and weddings. The barn itself is 3,000 square feet large and the terraces offer an additional 1,800 square feet of space. Visitors can also stay overnight at Pebble Hill Plantation and even rent accommodations for longer periods of time. 

The plantation was first established by Thomas Jefferson Johnson in the 1820s. After burning down in 1934, the house was restored and transformed into a museum run by the Pebble Peach foundation.

Pebble Hill Foundation is located about 5 miles south of Thomasville, GA near Highway 319. Signs along the highway as well as the easily visible main gate sign will guide you to the plantation entrances.
