Description
At the Vider Truja adventure park in Ischgl, the focus is on water. Situated at the lake Vidersee, just below the Idalp, there is an adventure trail for little explorers, but also resting places for everyone who simply wants to enjoy the great panorama of the Paznaun mountains. By the way, the name "Truja" comes from the Rhaeto-Romanic language and means something like trampling path of the cows.
In spring 2021 the adventure park was rebuilt and enlarged. In addition to the water attractions such as water mills, the water guidance system and the raft pond, there is now also a bouldering facility, several trampolines, slacklines and a Kneipp pool. Due to its location in a basin, the Vider Truja is the warmest place on the Idalp. So it's no problem if you get a little wet while enjoying the water attractions.
Hammocks, benches and sun loungers by the lake and the two landscape ponds, on the other hand, invite you to take a relaxing break. There are also several barbecue areas. The adventure park is integrated into the hiking trails around the Idalp and is easily accessible on foot.
How to get there
Ischgl is located in Paznaun about 30 kilometers southwest of Landeck. Coming from Innsbruck, take the A12 or the B171 to Landeck. At Pians you turn into Paznaun and drive via See and Kappl to Ischgl.
From Ischgl you take the Silvrettabahn (A1) cable car to the Idalp. From there it is only a few minutes walk to the Vider Truja. Of course, you can also get to the adventure trail without the cable car. The Idalp adventure trail is around 7.5 kilometres long and takes you from Ischgl to Idalp in around 2-3 hours.
